Now that the New Hampshire Democratic presidential debate is “in the can” as they say, or at least they used to say that in Hollywood, the armchair politicians are coming out of the woodwork to analyze every word and gesture of Bernie and Hillary’s latest performance.
I’m not going to weigh in, partly because I can no longer stand the sound of Hillary’s voice and so I can’t watch these debates any more. Sadly, most of the reviews on corporate news media sites are biased fairly strongly in favor of Hillary if only because she is the candidate that pretty much likes things are they are now and as we all know the establishment hates the thought of change and subsequently supports any politician that most effectively represents the status quo.
I looked for fair and balanced reporting but found little that wasn’t almost completely off-the-rails. This review by Jim Newell on Slate .com seems to offer some good insights as well as a fairly balanced assessment of where both candidates are at this point in the campaign. If you missed it or if you just want to watch it again, below is a link to the video of the debate on YouTube.
